The city of Austin, TX may be famous for hipsters and tacos, but what the locals can’t stop talking about is its growing population, and its even worse traffic problem. In 2015, the city experienced some serious growing pains and set a new record for deadliest year on record in traffic fatalities. As a lifelong Austinite I’ve seen this city grow at an alarming rate. Our traffic has never been as bad, nor has our rent been so high. I can sit here and whine about the rise of cost of living, the genderfication, the eye-sore corporate sponsorships dominating our local music festivals, but I’m not.
