The ROI of Studying Abroad

Hi friends! My name is Lindsey, and I am thrilled to announce that I am the new Sunday contributor to Daily Infographic. A little about me: I was born and raised in Austin, Texas, graduated from St. Edward’s University with a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Spanish, and am the Alumni Relations Coordinator for a study abroad company specializing in professional developmentâ??teaching college students how to leverage their study abroad experience into marketable skills and/or careers. That said, I couldn’t think of a better way to kick off my Sunday stay here than with an infographic on the benefits of studying abroad.

The second semester of my junior year in college was spent indulging in all the flavors, sights, and sounds of Spain. I fell in love, made new friends, learned a second language, and traveled all over Europe in true study abroad student fashion. Little did I knowâ??or care at the timeâ??that this experience was also beginning to define my post-collegiate career goals, giving me marketable skills for the future, and increasing my employability in the eyes of an HR Manager. Deciding to study abroad is one of the best decisions you can make as a college student; the infographic I am featuring today couldn’t agree more. It’s a battlefield out there for us recent grads, we’ve got to do what we can to shine brighter than those we’re up against. Plus, you’ll have the time of your life.
