It is important to achieve a good work-life balance, but that’s often more easily said than done when you take into account the local job market and the actual cost of living in different countries. The unfortunate truth, is sometimes you’re stuck with that low salary and high hours.

If you are feeling that you’re overworked and underpaid, it always helps to see what the average worker in your country is facing. When you take into account that a large percentage of jobs will be under this threshold but an equally large percentage won’t be, it is easier to see where you might find better opportunities and how likely you are to get a better position.
