Tips For A Healthy Quarantine Diet

ways to stay healthy while in quarantine

Many Americans go out to eat more than once per week. So much so, that restaurant sales in the United States have exceeded grocery sales for the past couple of years. So, when we can’t go out to eat, we really have to put in a conscious effort into making meals at home.

Eating at home can mean a variety of things depending on who you ask. For some, it means fresh vegetables and a five-course meal every night. For others, it means a frozen pizza or cereal for every meal. When food options are limited, it’s harder to decide what to buy and what to leave behind.

It’s more important than ever to be extra careful about what you’re purchasing. It’s easy to go overboard and buy way too much food that eventually just goes bad at the end of the week. However, you also want to make sure that you have the essentials so you don’t have to constantly go back out to the grocery stores.

Try buying rice, canned beans and vegetables, and other foods that you can make an entire meal out of, but that won’t go bad for a long time. Additionally, you can try meal prepping and buying all of the food you would need for this ahead of time to ensure nothing is wasted.
