22 “Bad” Movies People Love To Hate

Every state's favorite bad movie

Throughout the years, cinema has had some triumphant highs and some pitiful lows. Today we’re going to be taking a look at these pitiful lows and seeing which of these are favored by each state.

CenturyLinkQuote and Google Trends were able to compile a list of the most popular “bad” movie in each state using data from Rotten Tomatoes, IMDB, and the Razzie Awards.

When I said pitiful lows previously, I was not saying that these movies cannot be enjoyable. They are enjoyable in the sense that you truly love to hate them, and this infographic shows which movie each state loves to hate the most. Some of these movies are repeat offenders, including classic disaster-pieces like Batman & Robin and The Room.

While each of these movies are considered objectively bad (evidenced by the paltry IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes score for each) they each have a certain charm that seemed to resonate with each of the fifty states.

From bad directing to being sequels not featuring the casts of the first movies (Daddy Day Camp, Son of the Mask, Superbabies: Baby Geniuses 2), there were a wide variety of reasons each of these movies bombed critically.

It’ll be interesting to see what bad movies are able to join the ranks over the next few years, as the most recent movie to appear on this list is The Emoji Movie from 2017. We are long overdue a movie that is so atrocious that it could appear on this list.
