Our Planet, From the Top to Bottom

Our Planet From the Top to Bottom

I don’t know how I feel about mountain climbing. I think it is the same way I feel about skydiving, I don’t want to do it. I don’t have an urge to go really high on anything. Roller coasters I can handle, bungie jumping? Negative. Skydiving seems like a waste of money and all it would do is frighten me. It is like an extremely expensive horror film.

Why skydive when you could scuba dive? No skydiver ever gets to watch a bird just hover with you while you fall. You just scream and fall way too fast. Under the sea there are millions of different types of wildlife that are just amazing. Some of the most beautiful fish will just swim up next to you and chill.  Once while scuba diving I swam with a hammerhead and saw some of the most pristine reefs in the Caribbean.

The show Planet Earth showed what awesome animals lived in the deepest depths of our oceans. I wonder why in 1960 we could go down to the deepest trench in a sub, but now we only send robots? Also, why haven’t we started to build an underwater civilization? We have the technology and we desperately need more living space for our growing world population. I would love to be in a bubble world and my entire sky would be an aquarium. Some billionaire like Steve Jobs or Bill Gates needs to make one of these aqua-cities. They could make competing bubble worlds. I think I’d rather stay in the iBubble than whatever Bill comes up with. [Via]
