Your Holiday Safety Guide

12 days of christmas safety

The holidays are almost over, but no festivities are the same without one or two ill-timed accidents. Accidents are so common that we might even think of them as a holiday staple, but when eggnog is involved, a LOT of unexpected things can happen (and I don’t think it’s just me!).
When I found this infographic by Creative Safety Support, I knew I had to share it with the world. Who knew there was a limit to back-to-back lights you could connect? Or that old debris and dust can cause an actual fire to come out of your chimney and destroy everything? I mean, we all know to be careful around lit candles and fire, but even a torn muscle when taking decorations out of the attic can put a damper on your celebrations.
Around the holidays, our houses are a disaster waiting to happen: with all the lights, inflammable trees, cooking casseroles and copious amount of spirituous drinks, no wonder November December and January are one of the busiest times of the year for firefighters and cops everywhere. Some tips are as easy as keeping a fire extinguisher handy at all times, so it’s not that hard to be watchful of our health and others’.
How does your house rate safety-wise? Check out the infographic below and let us know!
