A staggering 85 percent of Americans plan to celebrate Mother’s Day this year, and the average person will spend nearly $200. Millennials will spend the most, with an average of $252 per millennial.

Even with the prevalence of online shopping, 70 percent of consumers shopp in-person for Mother’s Day gifts. Maybe it’s because brick-and-mortar stores allow you a chance to see items in person before purchasing (and to buy last-minute gifts).

Lastly, mothers and wives lead the list for who’s receiving gifts. Also on the list? Daughters, grandmothers and friends.
