How To Spice Up Your Hot Chocolate

I drink hot cocoa year round. There are some drinks that shouldn’t be limited to one season, and hot chocolate is at the top of that list for me.

But it can get old to drink the same thing every day. This infographic provides some yummy ways to spice up your hot chocolate and make it even more enjoyable.

You can add a combination of pepper and cinnamon to your hot chocolate for a kick, while lavender and white chocolate chips can bring a smoothness to your drink.

You don’t have to miss out on satisfying the hot chocolate itch if you don’t do dairy — this infographic gives you a vegan option as well. Try palm sugar, almond milk and unsweetened cocoa powder.

You can’t go wrong with peanut butter. Combine skim milk, heavy cream, milk chocolate candy and your favorite creamy PB.  If you love oranges, you can add some to your hot chocolate for a fruity and chocolatey combination.

The best thing about hot chocolate is that you can top it with whatever you want. Marshmallows, whipped cream, caramel –– you name it.
