Modern Slavery Infographic

This is a very nicely done infographic about a very horrible subject. Modern slavery is painful to think about, but it’s really important that we are aware of it, and trying to stop it. I have no expertise in this area and am still somewhat in shock from reading this infographic, so here are some resources from organizations who are working to end human trafficking.

1) The U.S. Department of State lists 20 Ways You Can Help Fight Human Trafficking

2) Discover your Slavery Footprint. An estimated 33 slaves worked to make some of my stuff. This is a hard thing to look at, but I’ve got to say, the survey is in a really cool format. Web designers take heed.

3) Humantrafficking.org is a resource of facts and figures as well as red flags to look for and how to report.

Slaveryfootprint.org lists rare earth minerals as often mined by forced labor, so if you’d like to learn more about these integral components of so many things that we take for granted, here’s an infographic about that.
