The Single Man’s Finances

Single Man's Finances

If only Beyonce had written “Single Gentlemen” instead of “Single Ladies,” this infographic would have a companion ballad. I guess to make up for it, go read “The Road Not Taken” by Robert Frost. Then go into the woods and write your own poem about the beauty of individual freedom. Then burn it. And now read this article.

The number of single men in the U.S. is on the rise. The only problem with that is married men typically earn more than single men. But think about that for a moment. A lot of married men are supporting families. Single men only have to support themselves. And what a relieving thought that is. The older I get, the less I want to get married. That doesn’t mean I don’t want to some day, but when I think about all of the problems of having a wife and children, I want to be self-centered for just a little longer.

I think of myself as a little kid, and the way I treated my parents. And my parents raised five kids. I just think about all that stress; I mean, I can’t even clean my own room. The only time I do clean it is when I’m having a lady-friend over. That’s just the best perk of being single. As long as you can pull the right moves, you will always have company as far as women go, and not get tired of the same one. I’m not saying that having a girlfriend gets old, because I’ve enjoyed having girlfriends in the past, but it is nice to have options.

But that’s not really the point of this infographic. In fact, this one makes being single look irresponsible to some degree, but I like to talk about me, so thanks for reading. Now check out this dope infographic! [via]
