How To Get More Energy, And That Promotion

Provides helpful information for increasing energy and productivity

Being low on energy at work can sabotage your productivity–and consequently, your chance at becoming more successful within your company. I’m a serial snoozer and a nap connoisseur. It seems like no matter how many hours of sleep I get, I just can’t muster up enough energy to get through my workday without a constant melody of yawns acting as my soundtrack. I’ve always relied on ungodly amounts of coffee and cat naps for quick fixes for my energy deficiency, but this infographic shows that there are plenty of lifehacks to swap out your sleepy days for productive ones.

If there are certain time periods throughout the day in which you need to kick your energy into gear, the four chronotypes shown in the infographic can help you figure out when you need to head to bed and set your alarm in order to foster maximum productivity.

For my lifestyle, I need to be more productive during the late morning and early afternoon, but I’m not as worried about my energy levels in the early morning nor the evening. My current sleep habits most closely resemble the Wolf, but I see now that I should be modeling myself after the Bear instead.

Aside from when I should get my shut-eye, I’m excited to implement more of the tips throughout my day in order to stay energized. After all, who wouldn’t want to jam out, watch cute cat videos, or let out some giggles while grinding out your responsibilities?

Coffee is always going to be the most delicious energizer in my eyes, but I can’t wait to see how these tips can make me a better employee, and set me up for professional success.
