Simple Ways To Combat Office Fatigue

Work fatigue can leave you drained. See what causes it

In the modern workplace, it is almost inevitable that we work at a desk and in front of a computer. While it would make sense that this seeming lack of activity would leave us with plenty of energy at five o’clock, many workers find themselves exhausted after spending the day in front of a screen. Why is it that, in many cases, office work can be as exhausting as manual labor?

Office fatigue can have multiple symptoms, including depression, consistent exhaustion, and disorientation. The people most vulnerable to office fatigue are low-wage workers, retail employees, and people who work long hours.

Scientists now have reason to believe office fatigue could be the result of a variety of factors. For example, feeling tired after doing a given task for a long time could be an evolutionary mechanism signaling to our brains that it is time to start doing something else.

Fortunately, there are solutions to combat office fatigue. Experts are recommending that those who work in an office should take frequent breaks throughout the day. In addition, they should be focusing on sleep schedules and proper hydration. It is also recommended that one should be exercising regularly, as well as eating the right amounts of fruits and vegetables. Everybody can agree that it is important to balance your work life with your health.
