Kitchen Hacks: How to Make Scrambled Eggs In Your Microwave

How To Use Your Microwave To Make Scrambled Eggs And More

My microwave is mostly used to heat up leftovers––it’s a useful appliance, but I don’t think much of it.

My mind is blown thanks to this infographic. Did you know that placing your plate on the edge of the spinning carousel helps it heat more evenly?

Additionally, you don’t need a stove to make a filling breakfast. You can make scrambled eggs in a coffee mug––just add milk, cheese, salt and pepper. Wait a minute and a half, and you’ll have a scrumptious treat.

Some other cool microwave tricks: You can microwave granola bars to prevent them from crumbling, and stale chips that are microwaved for 10 seconds will become crispy again.

One of the best ways to clean your microwave after you’re done whipping up snacks is with vinegar. Add vinegar to a glass bowl full of water and microwave it for five minutes. Your house will may smell a bit acidic after, but it’s definitely worth it. Stubborn stains and food bits will be easy to wipe up thanks to this trick.

Also, don’t forget to clean the outside of your microwave! All that you need to clean the touchpad is a clean sponge with warm water.
