How To Travel Internationally Without Jet Lag

Tips to avoid jet lag infographic

When I was a kid, my family took a trip to Hawaii. It was only a time difference of six hours, but we were all miserable. I remember falling asleep at the dinner table.

I’m not sure what I’d do if I had to travel across the world since I’m not fun to be around when I’m jet-lagged. Thanks to this infographic, I have a better idea of how to handle tiredness. Here are some things to keep in mind when traveling to a different time zone.

First, gradually change your sleep schedule to plan for the new time zone. It’s also good to try to fly at night and sleep on the plane. It’s the best way to replicate your normal schedule.

When you’re on the plane, don’t get tempted to drink coffee or alcohol. Drinking water is a key way to stay hydrated and well-rested.

Once you arrive at your destination, spend some time in the sun to help your body’s internal clock reset faster. Also, do your best to stay up until bedtime and maintain your normal amount of sleep.
