Here Are Some Simple Ways To Deal With Neck Pain

Quick ways to get ahead of your pain

After a long flight or too much time at a desk, my neck starts to feel a little achy. Maybe you can relate.

Thanks to the team at Pain Management and Injury Relief, I now know some easy ways to deal with neck pain. If you do experience neck pain, you’re not alone: Somewhere between 50 and 70 percent of people experience neck pain in their lives. Neck pain is often caused by prolonged sitting.

The number one type of muscle pain, according to the National Institute of Health, is lower back pain. Regular stretching can help with chronic pain, and stretching also helps strengthen muscles.

All of the suggested exercises involve a chair, so pull one up to get started. The first exercise suggested is scalene exercises, where you hold your chair seat and bend your neck to the side until you feel a stretch.

Another interesting stretch to try is anterior cervical exercises, where you pull your collarbones down and gently bend your neck back.
