6 Ways to Beat the Back to Work Blues

No one wants a holiday to be over, but going back to work doesn’t have to be a downer.

At the top of the tip list, get your body moving! Even if it’s just a half hour stroll you’ll be surprised at how much your mental state improves with a bit of exercise. If you don’t have the luxury of leaving the office for a decent chunk of time, there’s plenty of little exercises that you can do in the office.

Second, you are what you eat. If your food doesn’t have sufficient nutrition to keep your brain and body happy, you won’t be happy either. Fortunately, a lot of healthy foods that your brain loves are also hecka tasty, like dark chocolate and bananas.

The fifth tip on the list is undoubtedly the hardest. Part of the business model of many workplaces is squeezing as much as they can out of their employees. It can be very hard to find that precious work-life balance when you’re consistently expected to work overtime and meet crazy deadlines. Be strong and remember that you’ve got to look out for you.
