Effects of Flip Flops on Your Body

As summer draws to an end, most of y’all will begin to bring out your winter clothes, and start packing away your summer clothes and flip flops. However, after reading this infographic, you might want to toss your flip flops away and purchase a supportive pair of strappy sandals instead.

Today’s infographic reports that 78% of those 21 years and older have experienced one or more foot problems in their lives; that’s a surprisingly high number. Personally, flip flops have always hurt my feet. My toes always cramp up, and I always feel like my arches have collapsed and the end of each use. I’m sure many of y’all have had similar experiences. Instead, if it’s too hot to wear closed toed shoes, try wearing a sandal with an arch, or something with a strap at the back of the heel to securely attach it to your foot. Consult today’s infographic for more facts on how flip flops can negatively affect your physical health! [via]
