Know Your Nuts An FAQ on Testicluar Cancer

Although male-health awareness month was last month, we here at Daily Infographic wanted to share some info on testicular cancer. Cancer can be a scary thing. It can be an incredibly fast-acting disease if left untreated or unnoticed; but cancer is a preventable disease! This infographic has some great tips for all the guys out there, with a listing of symptoms, prevention methods, treatment options, and the possible effects that this cancer has on one’s libido and fertility.

The first signs of testicular cancer include a swelling or lump on a testicle that may at first be painless. If there is a pain, it will feel dull and have a heaviness to it. Although fewer than 4% of testicular lumps are cancerous, it is much better to be safe than sorry, so check yourself regularly! If you notice any changes in shape or size, and seek medical attention as soon as possible. Treatments vary depending on what stage you’re in, but generally surgery, chemotherapy or radiotherapy may be necessary. That finally brings us to the sex factor. Cancer treatment can sometimes affect fertility and libido. Talk to your doctor about your options.

Even though this infographic is only about testicular cancer, the thought process for any cancer should be the same. Check yourself regularly and be informed on treatment options!
