The economy is not a jolly subject these days. While Europe wades through a debt crisis, the United States is faced with some curious job market numbers. Reason to deck the halls: the U.Sâ??s jobless rate is down. But, it turns out this is partly due to 315,000 unemployed job seekers giving up on their chances to find work. Not so festive. It is simplistic to think that there is a quick fix to the economic problems dominating the news, but todayâ??s infographic presents an idea that might make the holiday a little brighter for some.

The infographic explores the ins and outs of holiday seasonal employment, mainly from the employerâ??s perspective. While by definition, seasonal employment is temporary, many companies look to foray this short-term employment into something more lasting. After all, if you are already trained and doing a great job, why would they look for someone else to fill a vacancy?
